Deanna Russo

Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born in 1969) is an American actor who is famous as the actress in the TV show "Sliders.' She is also an accomplished singer and released her first studio album "Shiny," in 1999. Wuhrer hails from Connecticut. She began singing when she was a kid and was performing in nightclubs as she became a teenager. She began studying acting at Wooster school when she was thirteen years old. She later enrolled at different colleges in order to study drama. Her screen debut came in 1986's romantic drama, 'Fire with fire.' The following year she made her debut as a TV actor, in the role of Joanie. In her career of three decades she's accumulated around 80 credits from TV and film. While she has appeared in numerous mainstream movies, she's widely known as the B-movie queen of numerous films with low budgets in her filmography. Wuhrer was also a model and formerly a MTV VJ. She took home the Best Actress Award in 2001 at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and was the star of the film comedy Do It For Uncle Manny.
